The cult trash film Sharknado is offering something special to its fans for its 10th anniversary: a special theatrical release in American cinemas and a crossover poster with Barbie.
A Crossover Poster with Barbie Announces the Special Event
The event, taking place on August 15 and 16, is announced with a spectacular image. In the poster, we can see Barbie and Ken fully equipped, heading towards the Sharknado. The poster also promises a version with new special effects.
A Phenomenon That Started in 2013
Directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, Sharknado made its debut on the SYFY network on July 11, 2013. The concept of combining disaster films with shark stories created a viral phenomenon on the web, leading to the production of four sequels between 2014 and 2017.
Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, and John Heard are among the film’s cast. Sharknado revolves around a hurricane hitting the city of Los Angeles, bringing with it a terrifying number of sharks that create panic and terror among the city’s inhabitants.
