In the film « Oppenheimer, » there are scenes featuring sexual content, specifically involving the relationship between the main character portrayed by Cillian Murphy and the psychiatrist played by Florence Pugh. However, in some countries, Pugh’s nude scenes have been digitally retouched.
Controversy over the use of CGI in certain countries
According to reports from overseas sources, the nude scenes featuring Florence Pugh as psychiatrist Jean Tatlock were digitally modified. In the film, her character has a relationship with Oppenheimer, while the protagonist is married to Katherine « Kitty » Puening, portrayed by Emily Blunt.
The countries where Florence Pugh was dressed in a black dress are Indonesia and India. The paradoxical aspect of all this is that CGI was used to cover Florence Pugh, while Christopher Nolan himself has stated that the use of digital effects in « Oppenheimer » has been minimized.
